Full Itinerary
This morning, you will be picked up by your personal guide and driver at your hotel stay then we proceed to transfer to Vong Village (Hau hamlet), about 5-6 km from central Hanoi. The village has been well-known for its green sticky rice (Cốm) with various specialties such as: green rice cake, green rice ball, green rice congee, etc. and many other dishes that can be made out of these delightful little green nuggets. All is delicious with a distinct flavor that is hard to refrain.
Upon arrival, we will start walking around the village to locals’ homes to see them in their daily life. Traditional houses have been turned into a small manual sticky rice manufacturers where you get the chance to see the production process up-close. From the stage of “screening” the rice to turning it into nuggets then the last stage of giving it the distinct fragrance that has long been associated with the poetic autumn season of Hanoi.
After the tour, we will get on our vehicle to return to Hanoi. Before escorting you safely back to your hotel stay, our guide and driver will take you out to a restaurant in town for a nice local lunch with delicious Vietnamese specialties. Services end at your hotel’s lobby.
