Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Ra Market – Ba Be – Campsite (Lunch, Dinner)
06:30: Depart from Hanoi by tourist vehicle to Bac Kan, with a stop in Thai Nguyen for a break.
12:00: Enjoy lunch at Ra Market Ward.
13:00: Continue by tourist vehicle to the Boc Luom boat station, where we will start SUP paddling along the Nang River to Puong Cave and Ba Be Lake. The Nang River is narrow with a strong current, and the scenery varies from steep cliffs to open views with valleys or cornfields. The highlight is paddling through Puong Cave, one of the largest caves in the area. The strong current helps us conserve energy despite the long distance.
15:30: After exiting Puong Cave, we'll pause at a small island in the river for fresh fruits and cold drinks in a scenic setting. We’ll then paddle to the point where the Nang River meets Ba Be Lake.
We'll board an electric boat to enter the lake. In the summer, you can swim in Ba Be's clear waters. Our stop for the night is the campsite near Ba Be Lake and close to Pac Ngoi Village. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink, set up tents, and relax before dinner.
19:00: Dinner at the campsite followed by a campfire to create lasting memories with friends.
Day 2: Campsite – Tien Pond – Dau Dang Waterfall – Homestay (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
07:30: Breakfast at the campsite.
08:30: After breakfast, we’ll paddle around Ba Be Lake, exploring the cliffs, An Ma Island, and Tien Pond.
12:00: Picnic lunch at Tien Pond before paddling back to the Nang River. In the afternoon, we’ll navigate the wildest part of Nang River with its stunning cliffs and visit Dau Dang Waterfall. We’ll leave the SUP at the boat station and walk about 1km to the waterfall, where we can rest and take photos before returning to the boat station. We’ll then take an electric boat back to Ba Be Lake. If time permits, enjoy a swim in the lake's clear waters.
16:30: An electric boat will take us to Pac Ngoi Village for dinner and an overnight stay in a homestay.
18:30: Dinner and overnight stay at the homestay.
Day 3: Homestay – Trekking Ba Be National Park – Back to Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
07:30: Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30: After breakfast, we’ll walk to Pac Ngoi Village and trek through the forest for about 2.5 hours to An Ma Island. The trek is relatively easy with a clear trail. At An Ma Island, visit the sacred An Ma Temple, then paddle to the lunch spot on the opposite bank of Ba Be Lake.
11:30: Shower, change clothes, and have lunch at a restaurant before heading to the tourist vehicle for the journey back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 19:00, concluding our adventurous trip.
