The devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar in late March shook the world to its core—most of all, the people of Myanmar. Over 3,600 lives were lost, countless families left homeless, and already-limited rescue resources pushed far beyond their capacity. For the first time in recent history, Myanmar faced a natural disaster of unimaginable scale.
Since 2007, Viet Vision Travel has been introducing Myanmar to international travelers through our brand Go Myanmar Tours. Each year, we’ve brought thousands of visitors to explore this beautiful and peaceful Buddhist country—a place we’ve grown deeply connected to, both as professionals and as people.
So when disaster struck, Viet Vision Holdings acted immediately. Out of care, respect, and a sense of responsibility for this land and its people, our Board of Directors quickly reached out to our long-time partner in Myanmar, Mr. Sammy of Shalom Travels. A donation of USD 1,000 was sent to help deliver emergency relief directly to Mandalay—one of the hardest-hit areas.
Alongside Mr. Sammy’s team, essential supplies like clean water, food, and other necessities were distributed directly into the hands of those in need. The effort was fast, heartfelt, and focused on getting help to the right place at the right time.
But our mission didn’t stop there.
As the operator behind Go Myanmar Tours, Viet Vision Holdings is more than just a travel business. With a network of trusted local partners and a team deeply rooted in Myanmar’s culture and communities, we’ve always seen our work as a bridge—not just to places, but to people. That’s why, in moments like these, we step in—not only as travel professionals, but as humans with heart.
In addition to direct action, we also called upon our fellow travel companies in Hanoi—many of whom also operate tours to Myanmar—to join the cause and support our friends in need. Whether it’s a small donation, a word of encouragement, or spreading the message, we believe every act of kindness matters right now.
At Go Myanmar Tours, we stand by a simple belief:
“We don’t just do tourism—we do it with humanity.”
And this moment proved that belief once again.
We’d like to take this opportunity to call on our wider travel community—colleagues, partners, friends in the tourism industry across Vietnam—to stand with Myanmar. Your contribution, big or small, can be the light in someone’s darkest hour. Even a kind message, a heartfelt share, or a symbolic donation can make an incredible difference.
Because travel isn’t just about destinations—it’s about connection. And sometimes, the strongest connections are formed not during moments of joy, but through compassion, care, and the shared hope of helping each other through the hardest times.
