4-Day North Vietnam Highlight Tour
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Upon our arrival at the Noi Bai (Hanoi) airport, our local guide will meet us and escort us to our hotel. The rest of the day is ours to relax and recover from jetlag. Tonight we will have dinner at one of the finest restaurants in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B, L)
On this day we will first visit Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Complex followed by the Temple of Literature which is the most typical symbol of the Vietnamese capital city. In the afternoon we will visit the Museum of Ethnology and explore Hanoi old quarter by cyclo (paddle rickshaw). In the evening we will enjoy the Water Puppet Show, one of the unique cultures in Vietnam.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will depart Hanoi by van for Halong Bay which is well-known as one of the World wonders and among stunning places of Vietnam. Arrive at Halong about noontime, we are welcome on board of Halong Ginger Cruise and set sail through bay while lunch is served. We will passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with Halong Ginger golden sails, go swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck.
Later afternoon, visit an interesting fishing village with opportunity to interact with fish men who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. At sunset time, kayak or simply take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnel with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board Ginger, enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset and later unwind at Ginger restaurant.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B)
Greeting the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, visit beautiful limestone grotto then back to the boat for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock for our return back to Hanoi.

5-Day Central Vietnam Highlight Tour
Day 5: Hanoi Fly to Danang transfer to Hue via Hai Van tunnel (B, L)
This morning, we will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to Danang airport. Welcome upon arrival in Danang we will transfer to Hue via Hai Van tunnel. Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam and among the best highlights in the central area. We will have lunch at Lang Co beach. After that, we transfer to the hotel for checking in. Relaxing until 3 PM, we will visit the Imperial city, Forbidden Purple City. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue City Tour (B, L)
We will take a dragon boat to cruise along the Perfume River. Visit Thien Mu pagoda, after that, we will take our van to visit the majestic and scenic Emperor Tu Duc tomb. We are free at leisure for the rest of the afternoon.
Day 7: Hue – Hoi An via Hai Van Pass (B)
After breakfast, we depart Hue for Hoi An travel through the high pass of Hai Van with its spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean en route to Danang. We will visit Cham Museum, Marble Mountain, “Chine Beach” and then going to Cua Dai Beach for our resort. We are free at leisure for the rest of the afternoon.
Day 8: Hoi An Walking Tour (B)
In the morning, we will do the walking tour in Hoi An town. This quaint riverside town still boasts a wealth of century’s old traditional architecture. The influences of several Asian cultures can be seen in old houses and waterside buildings. It is also famous as a place to be instantly created inexpensive tailored outfits.
Day 9: Hoi An Leisure Day (B)
Today we have our free day at our leisure to enjoy shopping in Hoi An or enjoy the beach.
6-Day South Vietnam Highlight Tour
Day 10: Hoi An – Danang – Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Today we will transfer to Danang to take the flight to Ho Chi Minh City in the early afternoon, after a short flight, we will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day, we are at leisure.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City Tour (B, L)
After breakfast, we depart our hotel for the Reunification Palace, the former Presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that, we will visit the War Remnant Museum, where we can see countless artifacts, photographs, and pictures documenting the second Indochina war. Before our lunch, we stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. In the afternoon we will visit Ben Thanh market, Cho Lon, Chinese town and market. Here we can experience Vietnamese Southern daily life.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai Temple (B, L)
In the morning we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi Tunnel that is the very typical highlight to discover the artifacts since the Vietnam-US war. On our way there we will drive through the pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will explore the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank, as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs, dropped by B52 bombers.
After that, we will drive to Tay Ninh to visit the Cao Dai temple. This religion is an odd mix of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianism, and Christianity. Join Cao Dai worshippers for their daily noontide ceremony. We return to Ho Chi Minh City for Overnight.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L)
After breakfast, we depart Ho Chi Minh City for Cai Be town, where we will take the boat ride through the natural canal, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the riversides. Before boating to the river island where we will enjoy our delicious lunch in the heart of the orchard, we visit the Cai Be wholesale fruit market – one of the most colorful floating markets in Southern Vietnam.
After lunch, we continue on cruising through the natural canal in the island, and under the shadow of the water coconut trees. We also visit the local family where we can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Walking through the fruit plantation in An Binh Island, we will take the rowing boat ride along the creeks before going to Vinh Long by motorized boat. Then we transfer to our vehicle to drive to Can Tho city.
Day 14: Can Tho – Cai Rang – Saigon (B)
After breakfast this morning, we will take the morning boat trip to visit the Cai Rang floating market with the busy sense right at the time. Then we keep on cruising through the small channels system, visit the rice noodles making the village. Let’s try to experience the “Monkey Bridge” in the Mekong Delta before returning Ho Chi Minh City via Vinh Long to visit the local snake farms.
Day 15: Saigon Departure (B)
Today we have free time at our leisure be for transfer to the airport for our departure flight home. The 15-day Vietnam tour ends.
