Full Itinerary

Vientiane Departure - Nam Ngum

At 8 A.M, the guide will pick you up at the hotel in Vientiane, which is located about 62 miles (about 100 m) away, we transfer to Nam Ngum Reservoir in the private car or minivan (up to your requirement) for a full-day excursion.

H'mong Village - Vang Xang - Nam Ngum Lake (L)

On the way, we stop en route at an H’ mong village to visit the local market and meet the locals, you will have the chance to discover the cultures as well as the life of the H’ mong people.

The next stop is the archaeological site of Vang Xang, built between the 8th and 11th centuries. After that, we continue to explore the reservoir around lunchtime with the clear introduction of your guide.

Then enjoy your lunch served at the boat restaurant on Nam Ngum Lake, take a short rest before embarking on a boat ride to visit some local fishing villages among the islands.

Dong Mark Khai Market - Back to Vientiane

On the way back to your hotel in Vientiane, witness the traditional salt abstraction site at Ban Keun and stop to buy some souvenirs at Dong Mark Khai Market. You will back to Vientiane in the late afternoon. Your day trip in Vientiane ends here.
