On this trip you will trek along Muong Hoa River sneaking through the valley nearby Sapa town, which is surrounded by huge rice paddy terraces. On the way you will learn more about how is the rice cultivating, from when the seed sowed to harvested, until being served as cooked rice on your dinner table. The night you spend in Tavan village, the unique village in Sapa area where Giay minority live, will be an excellent experience.

Full Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai
08:00: pick up at lobby of the hotel in Hanoi; transfer to Hanoi Railways station for night train to Sapa.
Overnight on train.
Day 2: Lao Cai – Sapa - Thanh Phu - Sin Chai B (B, L, D)

Welcome up on arrival at Lao Cai railways station, we transfer to Sapa town for our breakfast at hotel, relax then we transfer to Thanh Phu Bridge. We will trek along the Ngoi Bo River for 1 hour, then uphill to Muong Bo Village at the center of Thanh Phu Commune where our lunch will be provided in a local house. After lunchtime, we head to Sin Chai B village. This is a village of of Red Dao people. Dinner and overnight in a bamboo hut in the village.
Approx: 1-hour driving/ 5 hours walking/ 1-hour lunch.
Day 3: Sin Chai B - Nam Nhiu - My Son - Nam Toong – Sapa (B,L)
Accommodation: Holiday Sapa hotel
After breakfast, we start our day by walking downhill toward the My Son village which is inhabited by the Xafo ethnic minority, one of the smallest group’s ethnic in Northern Vietnam. After one and a half hours walk to the Red Dao village of Nam Toong, we bill stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our trip towards Ban Ho village where it will be possible to take a swim. Please check our guide’s advice before jumping on the water. Then our vehicle will transfer us back to Sapa from ban Ho. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Lao Cai – Lao Cai – Night train to Hanoi (B)
After breakfast at hotel, we will commence our short journey by driving south toward Muong Hoa valley. We will then start our walk by descending into the valley, which is the largest rice paddy terraced among Sapa area. The guide can provide us interesting information about rice. If we visit the valley sometime in between May and October, we will be able to observe and experience how the local do planting and harvesting, one of the most important activities in the daily life. The walk takes us from Lao Chai village of Black Hmong minority to Ta Van village of Giay minority including a visit to the local Catholic Church. After visiting Ta Van the car will return us to Sapa.

In the afternoon, we head back to Lao Cai for our night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train.
Day 5: Hanoi – Arrival
04:00 – 04:30: arrive in Hanoi Railways station, transfer to hotel. End of services
