Thien Mu Pagoda, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc … is the destination that international tourists love most.
1. Halong Bay
Located on the western bank of Bac Bo Gulf, including the sea and island area of Halong City, Cam Pha City and a part of Van Don island district, Quang Ninh Province. Halong Bay has a coastline of 120 km, an area of about 1,553 square km including 1,969 islands, mostly limestone islands, of which the central area of the bay has an area of 335 square kilometers clustering 775 islands and islets.
Not only for the beautiful scenery with numerous limestone islands floating on the water, Ha Long also gives visitors the feeling of tranquility immersing in the scenery. Considered as one of 29 world’s most beautiful bay, in late March, 2012, the New Open World organization has officially recognized Ha Long Bay is one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.
2. Thien Mu Pagoda
Also known as Linh Mu Pagoda, the ancient temple is situated on Ha Khe hill, the left bank of the Perfume River, 5km from Hue city center in the west. Thien Mu Pagoda was officially built in 1601, in Tien Nguyen Hoang dynasty.
With its natural beauty and vast scale, Thien Mu Pagoda has become the most beautiful temple at that time. Through many historical events, Thien Mu Pagoda has been used for palace offering natural god under Tay Son Dynasty (around 1788), and was restored many times under the reign of the Nguyen Dynasties. Today, the glorious temple is continually embellishing and becomes a magnificent and fascinating attraction for visitors.
3. Hoan Kiem Lake
Also known as Sword Lake, a natural freshwater lake of Hanoi, the lake covers an area of approximately 12 hectares. In the past, the lake also known as: Luc Thuy Lake, Thuy Quan Lake, Ta Vong Lake and Huu Vong Lake, Hoan Kiem named in first years of fifteenth century associated with the legend of King Le Thai To return the precious sword to Turtle God.
Hoan Kiem Lake is associated with the historical legends, as a symbol of peaceful aspiration, cultural virtues of Vietnamese people. Therefore, there are many writers and artists have taken the picture of Hoan Kiem Lake as the basis for their own work.
4. Hoi An
Hoi An city located on the banks of the Thu Bon River, about 25 km from Da Nang City in the southeast, about 50km from Tam Ky city in the northeast. From the sixteenth century, this place was known as Faifoo, where is the big center of traders from Japan, China, Portugal, Italy … in Southeast Asia area.
Nowadays, Hoi An has almost preserved the relics of ancient architecture and intangible cultural background in customs and traditions, belief, folk art, cultural festivals, the traditional village. Besides, culinary culture in Hoi An is one of the special things that tourists often refer. Travelers can enjoy traditional dishes in Hoi An such as: Cao Lau, Quang noodles, “white roses” cake…. when visiting Hoi An.
5. Phu Quoc
The island is also known as Pearl Island, the largest island in Vietnam and in the 22 island in the Gulf of Thailand. Phu Quoc Island and other islands forming Phu Quoc Island district, Kien Giang province. The island district has a total area of 589.23 square kilometers.
In 2008, the site Concierge.com (professional travel in Australia) has announced Bai Dai beach in Phu Quoc is one of 13 most pristine and beautiful beaches in the world. In addition, Phu Quoc is also home of fish sauce which is famous not only in Vietnam but also all over the world.
6. Rice Terraces in Sa Pa
Sa Pa is a highland town in north-west Vietnam, where the beautiful terraced fields stretch as the stairs rise up to the sky. With the spectacular natural landscape, mysterious love market and special cuisine, Sa Pa has become a must-see place for tourists when visiting Vietnam.
In 2009, Travel and Leisure Magazine (USA) has voted for Sa Pa terrace fields being one of the most 7 beautiful terraces in Asia and the world. In December 2011, Lonely Planet Travel Magazine (UK) has introduced “Sa Pa” as one of 10 amazing points in the world for trekking. And in early November 2013, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has also ranked terrace fields in Sapa as national landscape heritage.
7. Mui Ne
Being a famous tourist center in south central Vietnam, Mui Ne located in 22km area far from Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan Province) in the northeast. Mui Ne is famous for wild green coastline with red sand dunes stretching as desert and the original fishing villages of Vietnam.
Mui Ne also attract tourist by many historical sites with a diverse and multi-ethnic culture such as Kinh, Cham, Hoa especially the Cham towers, Nuoc towers, Ong pagodas, Ba Thien Hau Pagoda and many other historical sites.
8. Mekong Delta
As a part of the Mekong delta, also known as the Southern Delta has total area of 40.548,2 square km. Due to the long coast and the Mekong River is divided into several branches, canals, islets and islands, Mekong Delta becomes wonderful place for development of eco-tourism, experience and exploring tourism.
Visit Mekong Delta, tourists have opportunities to explore endless fruit garden, cruising down and boating along a branch of Mekong River, enjoy Don Ca Tai Tu and specialties of southern region, also visiting the floating markets – only found in the western water land.
9. Cu Chi Tunnel
Cu Chi Tunnel is underground defense system in Cu Chi district, also known as the “iron land”, located in the 70km area away from Ho Chi Minh City in the northwest.
This is a unique architecture located deeply in the ground with many floors, corners which last over 200km long. This is place for living, eating, meeting and fighting of Vietnam army. With 3 different depths, upper floor is in 3m depth, the middle floor with 6m depth, and the bottom floor is about 12m from the ground.
10. Nha Trang
Nha Trang is coastal town and the center of politics, economy, culture, and tourism of Vietnam in Khanh Hoa Province. Nha Trang also famous for sea bird nest dishes, one of the nutritious and delicious foods used for the Kings meals since 400 years ago.
Nha Trang is not only an attraction with natural landscapes, white sandy beaches, coral ecosystems of offshore islands, but well known for many ancient Cham temples, quiet museums in the heart of the city.

oh! they all are highlights in Vietnam. There are many other things to do and see in Vietnam such as enjoy street food, visit historical sites, DMZ, watching water puppet show and dozens of other attractions in Vietnam.
Mui Ne, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang are three best beaches in Vietnam. I have been in Nha Trang for 3 days and I really want to come back here again 🙂
