According to the plan No.71/KH-UBND of Hue People’s Committee, the 9th Hue Festival – 2016 with the theme “710 years of Thuan Hoa – Phu Xuan – Thua Thien-Hue; Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development” is going to be held from April 29th to May 4th, 2016 ( from March 23 to March 28, 2016 in Lunar Calendar respectively).

Ninth Hue Festival – 2016 continues to be a home for gathering and meeting of excellent art programs representing many different cultures around the world. It is a national-scale festival closely connecting with historical and cultural events of Hue such as “Celebrating 710 years of Thuan Hoa – Phu Xuan – Thua Thien – Hue, and 380 years of Hue”. Besides, it has cultural activities, tourism and other highly social festivals in order to attract many tourists at home and abroad. The 9th Hue festival is considered a strong motivation of socio-economic development contributing to advertise the image of Vietnam to international friends.
The 9th Hue festival will include some main performances such as Opening Ceremony and Art Performance (to celebrate 710 years of Thuan Hoa – Phu Xuan – Thua Thien-Hue; performances by Yanni musician and Vietnamese artists at Ngo Mon Square – Hue); Royal Night (with music party); “Orient Legendary” performed by Kitaro musician at Ngo Mon – Ky Dai, Hue; DJ Music Night of Tisetto at Independence Stadium, Hue; the nightly performances of both domestic and foreign artists at Dai Noi, Ngo Mon Square, An Dinh Palace, Bia Quoc Hoc. In addition, Hue International Carnaval Week (HICW) including International Auto Shows, Carnaval Beer, International Food, Got Talent – TV shows and diverse recreational activities at Thuong Bac Park, water music on Perfume Rive will be held in Hue Festival 2016.

Additionally, there are some interesting programs such as Preopening at Vuon Dao Ha – Dai Noi, Hue; Trinh Cong Son music show; “Huong xua lang co” festival; “Cho que ngay hoi” festival; Traditional Boat Race on Perfume River, International trade fair, Art exhibitions and food festival.
